Quick Ten Minute Makeup Routine For Moms!

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like I am always rushing out of the door every morning! I feel like no matter how early I wake up, there is always so much that needs to get done around the house. Whether it is cleaning up the living room, packing lunches, throwing in a load of laundry or ironing. The last thing I need slowing me down is my makeup routine, I’ll tell you that much. As a mom, you look for short cuts anywhere you can!

I just wanted to share some of my beauty favorites that have made getting ready and out of the door so much quicker! Also, as a women of color I am always hunting down the best products for my skin tone and it isn’t always easy. I have found that these brands have yet to fail me (bonus: they are EXTREMELY budget friendly too!)

Here is  a list of my go to products:

e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil - This is what I use to fill in and define my eyebrows ( it's literally $2!) I get this in the shade Deep Brown.

Maybelline® FIT ME!® Concealer - I use this concealer to outline/shape my eyebrows, I use the color Cocoa ( and it is less than $6).

Maybelline Master Precise by Eye Studio Pencil Eyeliner - I get this in the color Black (less than $7!) It is my absolute favorite product for the wing eyeliner look!

Maybelline® Volum' Express® The Colossal® Mascara  - This is the mascara I have always used, pretty much any Maybelline voluminizing mascara has done the trick.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer - I love using this concealer to cover up my blemishes, mostly on my chin and a little on my cheeks (sometimes my forehead as well) . I use the color " nw 50".  (it is $24)

No7® Stay Perfect Foundation SPF 15 -  This foundation has been a game changer. I always have such a hard time finding one that matches my skin tone. I love it. It blends really well with my concealer also. (it is also only $16!). I get it in the color "Chestnut".

MAC Blot Powder/Pressed - I like to use this blot powder at the end to give my face a little bit of a MAT finish. I get it in the color "deep dark". (It costs $29)

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - I love using makeup sponges to really blend in my concealer and foundation.( it is also less than $4, can't beat that!)

Every pregnancy is different. One thing I have noticed is that I have not come across  hyperpigmentation yet. During my last pregnancy my face, chest, and belly became significantly darker. I am 32 weeks pregnant now, and it still hasn’t happened yet. BUT if it does, I go up a shade or two for these aforementioned products!
